It is with regret that we have to announce that Dave Morrison passed away on Tuesday 29 November 2021.
Dave joined Garforth Camera Club over 20 years ago. He was our longest serving member.
Over the years Dave served on the club committee with his last role being the YPU club representative.
He was very well liked for dry humour and opinions.
Dave took the lead in our application for a Lottery grant which the club used to buy a digital projector, two laptops, a printer and software, also a grant from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, which was successful, and allowed us to buy a studio lighting set and display boards which helped to publicise the Club.
Dave has been ill for a few years, which he kept to himself and few people knew of his problems.
He will be sadly missed.
A trophy will be presented in his name every year to the winner of the annual open print competition held at the Christmas Social.
